Golf and Gaming Trail (Lake Charles-Baton Rouge-New Orleans)
Day 1 – Play 18-holes at the Country Club at the Golden Nugget Lake Charles or Contraband Bayou Golf Club at L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles. Before going to sleep, try your luck at a slot machine or a table game at one of Lake Charles’ Las Vegas style casinos.

Day 2 – Play 18 holes in Baton Rouge at *Santa Maria Golf Course, a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. signature design. After golf, stay, relax and dine in Baton Rouge with dynamic cuisine, and three top notch casinos for your enjoyment.

Day 3 – Arrive in New Orleans and play 18 holes at *Bayou Oaks at City Park – South Course. After golf try your luck at the many casinos in the area. 


Golf and Gaming Trail (Kinder-Marksville-Shreveport)

Golf & Fishing Trails

Golf and Fishing Trail (Toledo Bend-Alexandria-Delhi)  

Day 1 – Arrive in Many and play 18 holes at *Cypress Bend Golf Course. Make time to go bass fishing in Toledo Bend Lake. This 186,000-acre lake provides fishermen with record lunker bass (more than 10 pounds) and an abundance of great freshwater fish. Dine and stay at Cypress Bend Resort where stunning views of the golf course and Toledo Bend Lake will keep you immersed in the beauty of Louisiana even when you’re just waking up or winding down or enjoying the restaurant’s southern cuisine.   

Day 2 – Swing through Alexandria for an overnight and stay at one of their many hotels, including the Hotel Bentley, a historic hotel in downtown Alexandria. Play 18 holes at *OakWing Golf Club in Alexandria which offers a unique Jim Lipe design interwoven throughout its beautiful England Air Force Base location then continue east to Delhi to stay at Black Bear Lodge, located by Poverty Point Reservoir State Park, the park includes a 2,700 acres man-made reservoir offering watersport activities, swimming, hiking, and fishing.   

Day 3 – Play 18 holes on Louisiana’s number one public golf course, *Black Bear Golf Club. After an early round of golf, rent a boat or hire a guide for fishing on the reservoir then visit the Poverty Point UNESCO World Heritage Site, a story 3,400 years in the making, considered one of the most significant archaeological finds in the country with Native American ceremonial mounds built between 1700 and 700 B.C.  


Golf & Fishing Trail (New Orleans to the Bayou) 

Day 1 – Arrive in New Orleans and play 18 holes at *Bayou Oaks at City Park – South Course. Get a good night’s sleep, so you can get up early enough to go fishing. 

Day 2 – Head south to Jean Lafitte, a village named after Louisiana’s most infamous pirate, where you’ll catch specked trout and redfish in Bayou Barataria; then head back into New Orleans for some afternoon and evening fun. 

Day 3 – After breakfast in the French Quarter, play a morning round at Pete Dye’s masterpiece, *TPC Louisiana, then drive southwest into Bayou Country. Book a swamp tour and experience and explore the flora and fauna up close where the gators are waiting. Head further down the bayou to the Cajun Coast town of Morgan City, the Gateway to the Atchafalaya Basin 

Day 4 – Get up and make a morning of fishing for catfish from the bank at the Morgan City wharf along the Atchafalaya River Front or at Cypremort Point State Park.  Then play an afternoon round of golf in the heart of the Atchafalaya Basin at *The Atchafalaya at Idlewild in Patterson.

Golf & Music Trails

Golf and Music Trail (New Orleans-Baton Rouge-Lafayette) 

Day 1 – Arrive in New Orleans and play the Rees Jones-designed *Bayou Oaks South at City Park. After golf, enjoy a sunset dinner cruise on the Mighty Mississippi and then immerse yourself in an authentic musical experience by catching a performance at any local hotspot in and around the New Orleans French Quarter. 

Day 2 – Arrive in Baton Rouge and play 18 holes at *Santa Maria Golf Course, a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. signature design. Stay, relax and go listen to live music at the Red Dragon Listening Room where there are no distractions, and the musicians are the only reason everyone is in the room. 

Day 3 –Make your way to Lafayette to play 18 holes at *The Wetlands Golf Course. Your night should include the Blue Moon Saloon in Lafayette, a musical evening to remember. This world famous honky tonk is a home-grown place where all are welcome, the Saloon is more than a venue or a gig. It has become a meeting place where world travelers, community organizations, families, artists and politicians rub elbows, dance, drink a few and thank their lucky stars they have the good fortune to spend an evening together in Lafayette.

Golf & Culinary Trails

Golf and Culinary Trail (New Orleans-Baton Rouge-Lake Charles) 

Day 1 – Arrive in New Orleans in time to play *TPC Louisiana. Home to more than 1,300 restaurants, New Orleans is truly an epicurean delight. French cuisine blends with local cooking styles and creates distinctive Creole and Cajun dishes that are original to the city, such as po’boys. Dine at any number of great spots from fine dining to a hole-in-the-wall. Stay in a historic hotel in the French Quarter or a convenient hotel along Canal Street. 

Day 2 – In the morning, make your way to New Orleans’ oldest and most visited neighborhood – the French Quarter—there you can have breakfast at Café du Monde, this iconic New Orleans restaurant has been serving visitors since 1862, enjoy beignets and café au lait, before heading to Baton Rouge to play 18-holes at Beaver Creek Golf Course. Eat at any of Baton Rouge’s local seafood restaurants where you can dine on either seafood gumbo, crawfish etoufée, or chicken and sausage jambalaya. 

Day 3 – Head to Lake Charles where you can play 18-holes at either the Country Club at the Golden Nugget or Contraband Bayou Golf Club at L’Auberge Casino Resort or you can play both. Then take a drive to experience Lake Charles’ Boudin Trail. Boudin is a Cajun staple food, made from Louisiana long-rain rice, pork and each chef’s secret blend of spices.    


Golf and Culinary Trail (NE Louisiana-Toledo Bend-Lafayette) 

Day 1 – Play 18 holes on Louisiana’s number one public golf course, *Black Bear Golf Club. Enjoy the relaxed pace of life and friendliness of folks in northeast Louisiana as you dine in many of the restaurants serving Southern staples. Cornbread and down-home vegetables are served along-side Louisiana favorites, including mouth-watering catfish and crawfish. 

Day 2 – On your way to Many, swing through Natchitoches, the oldest settlement in the Louisiana Purchase, and famous for the Natchitoches meat pies, a must-eat when in the Natchitoches area. In Many, play 18-holes at *Cypress Bend and stay on-site at their resort right on Toledo Bend Lake.

Day 3 – After a nice breakfast, head south and play 18 holes at *The Wetlands Golf Course in Lafayette. Your night in Lafayette will be an evening to remember, dine where homegrown chefs put a fresh spin on time-honored Cajun recipes, dive into shrimp and grits, oyster dishes or any number of great Cajun and creole classics. You’d be wise to extend your stay in the heart of Cajun Country. First-time travelers rarely allow enough time to take in the region’s treasures. Here, the folks are generous hosts and excellent cooks. They strive to preserve the Cajun heritage, which includes knowing how to have a good time.

Golf & Craft Brewery Trails

Golf and Craft Brewery Trail (Lake Charles-Lafayette-Northshore) 

Day 1 – Play 18-holes at the Country Club at the Golden Nugget before enjoying the Crying Eagle Brewing Company in Lake Charles. 

Day 2 – Play 18 holes at Contraband Bayou Golf Club at L’Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles before heading to Lafayette to overnight. Make a stop at Bayou Rum in Lacassine, where every batch of Bayou Rum is distilled in copper pot stills, aged mostly in Bourbon casks and bottled in house. In the Lafayette area make time to go to Bayou Teche Brewing in Arnaudville. 

Day 3 – Play 18 holes at *The Wetlands Golf Course then it is off to the Tin Roof Brewing Company in Baton Rouge for an afternoon taste. Keep heading east to overnight in Hammond and to enjoy Gnarly Barley in Hammond. 

Day 4 – Get ready for a full day of golf by playing 18 holes at both *Oak Knoll Country Club in Hammond and *Carter Plantation, a David Toms’ signature design in Springfield. Top off your accomplishments with a stop at the Abita Brewing Company in Abita Springs.

Golf & Distillery Trails

Golf & Distillery Trail (Lake Charles-Lafayette-Baton Rouge)  

Day 1 – Start you distillery tour in the Lake Charles area. Play 18 holes at The National Golf Club of Louisiana in Westlake. Featuring 14 lakes, 65 bunkers and some of the area’s most challenging greens, the 7000 yard layout not only provides a great golf experience, it’s beauty alone will have you coming back again and again. After your round head, over to Yellowfin Distillery in Sulphur. Yellowfin Distillery produces top-quality vodka in a part of Louisiana — the Lake Charles area — that is perhaps best known for charter boat fishing adventures and abundant seafood.   

Day 2 – Overnight in Lake Charles, make a mid-morning stop and tour Louisiana Spirits Distillery/Bayou Rum in Lacassine. Bayou Rum has won 50 awards from tasting competitions in the country and grown to become the largest privately owned rum distillery in the United States. After your stop, make your way to Lafayette for an afternoon round at *The Wetlands Golf Course. Call and make an appointment in advance with Wildcat Brothers Distilling. Wildcat Brothers rums are produced by hand in small batches with no importation of foreign molasses or sugarcane byproducts — just the way it should be.   

Day 3 – Get to Baton Rouge and play 18 holes at *Santa Maria Golf Course in the morning, which leaves time to have a taste and tour at four locations in the area.  Baton Rouge Distilling, Three Roll Estate, Laissez Versez, all in the Baton Rouge area and Sugarfield Spirits Co., in the Gonzales area.    


Golf & Distillery Trail (New Orleans-Cajun Coast)   

Day 1 – Start you Distillery adventure in New Orleans first by playing 18 holes at *Bayou Oaks at City Park – South Course.  After a morning round in the New Orleans Uptown area, your distillery journey can begin. Cajun Spirits Distillery, Atelier Vie, Happy Raptor Distilling, Lulu Restaurant Distillery, Roulaison Distilling Co. and Seven Three Distilling Co., are all in New Orleans area.   

Day 2 – Head to the Morgan City area to play 18 holes at *Atchafalaya at Idlewild then it is on to Houma for a tasting adventure at Bayou Terrebonne Distillers. The distillery is located on the banks of Bayou Terrebonne, housed in a renovated 1921 shrimp processing plant. Here, the team makes small-batch white whiskey and Good Earth, a barrel-aged bourbon.   

Day 3 – On the last day play 18 holes at *LaTour Golf Club in Mathews before taking a drive to Vidalia to experience 1827 Spirits. Located in the Mississippi River town of Vidalia, the products of 1827 Spirits are the stuff of legends! It is the first legal distillery in Concordia Parish in more than 100 years.

Golf & More Itineraries

"Just a Chip Shot" from New Orleans to Cajun Country

Day 1 – Arrive in New Orleans and play 18 holes at *Bayou Oaks at City Park – South Course. After golf, spend the afternoon visiting one of the many museums in New Orleans—New Orleans Museum of Art, the Sazerac Museum, the National World War II Museum or Mardi Gras World. At night, explore the French Quarter, and enjoy dinner at a local New Orleans restaurant and savor the romance of New Orleans. 

Day 2 – After breakfast in the French Quarter, play a morning round at Pete Dye’s masterpiece, *TPC Louisiana, then drive southwest into Bayou Country. Book a swamp tour and experience and explore the flora and fauna up close where the gators are waiting. Head further down the bayou to Morgan City and tempt your taste buds with some great Cajun favorites at any of the area’s seafood restaurants. Overnight in Morgan City. 

Day 3 – Play 18 holes in the heart of the Atchafalaya Basin, *The Atchafalaya at Idlewild in Patterson. If you're still in the “swing of it,” and the sun is still ablaze you may want to pay a few more holes in Mathews at *LaTour Golf Club, a David Toms’ signature design. 


A “Straight Drive” from Lake Charles to Baton Rouge 

Day 1 – Play 18-holes at the Country Club at the Golden Nugget or Contraband Bayou Golf Club at L’Auberge Casino Resort before enjoying the Creole Nature Trail and strolling through Lake Charles’ historic district, then dine in any of the nearby restaurants and savor the bold spices and flavorful cuisine that make a dining experience in Lake Charles so memorable. Before going to sleep, try your luck at a slot machine or a table game at one of Lake Charles’ Las Vegas style casinos. 

Day 2 – Make a stop at Bayou Rum in Lacassine, where every batch of Bayou Rum is distilled in copper pot stills, aged mostly in Bourbon casks and bottled in house. Come taste, tour and stroll the Bayou Rum shop before making your way to Lafayette to play 18 holes at *The Wetlands Golf Course. Your night in Lafayette will be an evening to remember, dine where homegrown chefs put a fresh spin on time-honored Cajun recipes, which mesh perfectly with unique live music venues that showcase Cajun and zydeco music.   

Day 3 – In the morning, stay in Lafayette and tour Vermilionville Historic Village, a 23-acre site on the banks of Bayou Vermilion in the heart of Lafayette, explore and learn the history, music, food, historic architecture and so much more of the Acadians, Creoles and Native Americans or venture to Avery Island for a spicy tour of Tabasco® and its history.  In the late afternoon, arrive just north of Baton Rouge in Zachary to play 18 holes at *Copper Mill Golf Course.   


“Slicing and Hooking” into Plantation Country 

Day 1 – Play 18 holes at Beaver Creek Golf Course in Zachary, located just north of Baton Rouge. After golf, stay, relax and dine in Baton Rouge with dynamic cuisine, upscale shopping, great live music, casinos, eclectic museums, and the excitement of big-time college football, there’s even Topgolf if you are still in the mood to keep swinging golf clubs. 

Day 2 – Play 18 holes at *Santa Maria Golf Course, a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. signature design then head to Folsom to experience the Global Wildlife Center, one of the largest free-roaming wildlife preserves of its kind in the world.  See over 1,000 exotic, endangered animals from all over the world. Overnight in Hammond and stroll Hammond’s historic downtown area and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere along with chic boutiques, galleries, wine shops, coffee houses, cafés and fine dining restaurants. 

Day 3 – Get ready for a day of golf–play 18 holes at a new golf course to the Audubon Golf Trail – *Oak Knoll Country Club in Hammond then cap it off with a round at *Carter Plantation, a David Toms’ signature design in Springfield. 


“Grip It and Rip It” through Central Louisiana  

Day 1 – Head to a newer member of the Audubon Golf Trail – *Koasati Pines Golf Club located at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder.  After playing a round of golf, enjoy canoeing or tubing down the Whiskey Chitto, one of Louisiana’s most scenic waterways before heading to Alexandria for an overnight at one of Alexandria's many hotels, including the historic Hotel Bentley in downtown. 

Day 2 – Play 18 holes at *OakWing Golf Club in Alexandria which offers a unique Jim Lipe design interwoven throughout its beautiful England Air Force Base location. Head southeast to Marksville to stay and play at Paragon Casino Resort, where you can try your luck at the slots and table games.

Day 3 – Play 18 holes at *Tamahka Trails Golf Course at Paragon Casino Resort, then drive west to Many and go bass fishing in Toledo Bend Lake. In Monroe, “Follow the Beards” – visit locations featured on the Duck Dynasty show as well as the store at the Duck Commander Warehouse in West Monroe. Continue east to Delhi to stay at Black Bear Lodge, located in Poverty Point Reservoir State Park. The park includes a 2,700-acre man-made reservoir offering a variety of watersports –  swimming, hiking, fishing – plus golf.
